Bible Study

Lectionary Lounge
Have you ever heard the lessons read in worship on a Sunday and wished you could learn a little more about them? While the preacher usually helps to offer more context on at least one of the readings, a lot of what we hear typically remains unaddressed. Wouldn't it be nice to have a deeper understanding of what you're hearing? And who decides which lessons are read anyway? The lessons you hear come from a schedule of readings called the lectionary. The "Lectionary Lounge" is a Bible study meant to help you unpack the readings a little more, and to prepare you to hear them in a different light when you attend worship. This study is led by Greg Williams, a member of St. Paul's trained in history, the classics, and biblical languages.

Men's Bible Study
If you're a guy who's looking to grow spiritually, and to learn more about the Bible, this group is for you. This weekly study is led by Chad Brown, a member of St. Paul's who is passionate about his own spiritual journey fed by scripture. The group takes the Bible one book at a time, and asks important questions about how the book is speaking to you personally, and how God may be leading you to put your insights into action. The study takes place every Wednesday morning at 6:00 AM--yes, it's early, but you can do it! There's plenty of coffee and homemade biscuits, and good fellowship, to go around, and the group disperses at 7:00 AM so you can get right into your day. Other groups are also forming now, so for more info, email Fr. Rob Courtney.

Women's Bible Study
There are two different women's Bible study groups that will begin gathering again at the start of 2023. Both of these groups spend time diving deeply into books of the Bible one at a time. It's a perfect setting to start growing spiritually and to find fellowship with other women. If you would like more details, or want to be first on the list when the groups begin meeting anew, email Mtr. Liz Embler-Beazley, Associate for Congregational Development.
