Welcome! Thank you for visiting our website. I hope you will take some time to click around so you can learn more about us.
St. Paul’s is a vibrant community of faith whose mission is “Growing in Relationships, Growing in Service, Growing in Christ.” St. Paul’s has been serving Jesus Christ in New Orleans since 1836, and has been a vital part of the rebuilding and restoration of the Lakeview neighborhood since Hurricane Katrina. Our church offers many opportunities for you to grow in Christ through worship, to grow in your relationships with others through fellowship and learning, and to grow in service through ministries like our feeding ministry. St. Paul’s Episcopal School, our primary outreach effort, has been educating the children of New Orleans for over 50 years, and is one of the finest schools in the city. There is a lot to be excited about that God is doing through this active community.
St. Paul's is a church of The Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana. If you are new to The Episcopal Church, we are the historic offshoot in the United States of the Church of England, with whom we still share an affectionate connection through The Anglican Communion. The Anglican Communion is a diverse, worldwide fellowship of autonomous churches, representing over 85 million Christians in 165 countries around the world, bound together by common worship and common history. As Anglicans/Episcopalians we value scripture, tradition, and reason as the foundations of our catholic (meaning universal) and reformed faith.
St. Paul’s is a welcoming and inclusive community with a vision to be “a Spirit-filled people renewing, empowering, and transforming lives within and beyond our community.” All baptized Christians, regardless of age or denomination, are invited to receive communion in The Episcopal Church. We hope you will be our guest someday soon so that we can share the Body and Blood of our Lord together around God’s table. We look forward to meeting you, getting to know you better, and engaging with you in a common journey of faith.
